Step aboard a traditional Cretan fishing boat and set sail into the deep blue with a seasoned local fisherman. The Cretan Catch is more than a boat tour; it is a full immersion into the island’s ancient seafaring heritage. With a maximum of 8 guests, you will have plenty of space to relax, breathe in the salty air, and embrace the slow rhythm of the sea. Once we drop anchor at a rich fishing spot, you will be equipped with your own fishing gear. Under the expert guidance of our captain, you'll drop your lines and experience the quiet thrill of the wait. While the fish bite, you can dive off the boat to swim in pristine, secluded waters. The true reward comes afterward: whatever we catch will be prepared on the spot—either boiled into a rich, traditional fisherman’s soup (Kakavia) or grilled to perfection, served alongside flowing Cretan wine and ice-cold Raki. The Sea-to-Table Menu The ocean dictates the menu, but you will enjoy your fresh catch prepared in one of two traditional ways (decided by the captain based on the day's yield): 1. The Traditional "Kakavia": A legendary, rich fisherman’s soup made by boiling the fresh catch with potatoes, onions, olive oil, and lemon. 2. The Classic Grill: Freshly caught fish grilled to perfection, drizzled with local olive oil and lemon dressing. (Both options are accompanied by fresh bread, local wine, and Raki).
